Target Groups

The A-Clase project focuses on engaging and benefiting a diverse range of individuals and organizations through its targeted activities and initiatives. Here is an overview of the primary target groups:

Senior Volunteers

The project aims to activate and engage seniors, providing them opportunities for personal development and social inclusion. By participating in dialogic gatherings (DGs) and leading discussions, senior volunteers will:

  • Develop Soft Skills: Improve communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Enhance ICT Literacy: Gain confidence in using digital tools and platforms for facilitating online discussions.
  • Foster Intergenerational Cooperation: Share knowledge and experiences with younger generations, strengthening community bonds.
  • Outcome: Increased social inclusion, improved mental and physical health, and a sense of purpose and fulfilment through community contribution.

Unemployed and Lower-Educated Individuals

The project focuses on supporting unemployed adults and those with lower educational backgrounds. By engaging in dialogic gatherings with senior volunteers, these individuals will:

  • Gain New Skills: Develop soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Build Self-Confidence: Improve self-esteem and motivation through meaningful conversations and interactions.
  • Enhance Employability: Acquire new skills and knowledge that can help in re-entering the workforce or pursuing new career paths.
  • Outcome: Increased employability, personal development, and stronger connections to the community.

Adult Education Centres, Professionals, and the General Public

The project also targets adult education centres, educators, and the broader community to promote innovative teaching methods and social inclusion. By integrating dialogic gatherings into adult education, the project aims to:

    • Innovate Teaching Methods: Develop and implement new approaches that foster social inclusion and community engagement.
    • Enhance Professional Skills: Improve the ability of educators to work with senior and unemployed adults, facilitating intergenerational cooperation and developing soft skills and ICT literacy.
    • Increase Visibility and Recognition: Highlight the role of adult education centres as providers of effective and inclusive educational programs.
    • Outcome: Enhanced teaching practices, increased knowledge and skills in working with diverse populations, and greater recognition within the local community.

    Motivation and Impact

The A-Clase project is motivated by addressing social exclusion among seniors and the unemployed, fostering intergenerational cooperation and bridging the generational gap. The project aims to:

    • Promote Social Inclusion: Engage marginalised groups in meaningful activities, reducing social isolation and fostering a sense of community.
    • Improve Employability and Skills: Provide opportunities for skill development and personal growth, enhancing the employability of participants.
    • Foster Lifelong Learning: Encourage continuous learning and development, benefiting both individuals and the broader community.

By targeting these groups, the A-Clase project seeks to create a more connected, inclusive, and empowered community, fostering lifelong learning and intergenerational cooperation.
